Somatic Therapy

These Sessions help you to compassionately explore your own internal experience through skilful cues, questions, and techniques that allow you to navigate the painful beliefs and feelings that lie beneath the surface.


Together, we build a welcoming relationship with the sensations that arise in your body.


As a result, they can be released, leaving you with greater internal freedom and the capacity to process emotions.


In order to explore our bodies and the wounds they hold, we must first establish a foundation of safety.


Then we invite in whatever wants to be looked at: a painful emotion, belief, memory or some other part of yourself that we know is causing suffering.


I then help you to go deeper into that part of you using specific inquiries and tools before guiding you through the act of processing and integrating the emotional residue.


Throughout my sessions, I sprinkle in explanations of the nervous system and insights into how thoughts and feelings work to help you develop an understanding of what’s going on for you.


I also give you tools and practices that you can (and should!) take into your daily life in order to be able to turn the challenges of life into opportunities to heal.


These sessions are a combination of Embodied Processing Techniques and Trauma Informed Stabilisation Treatment. No two individuals are the same, so each of my clients requires a slightly varied approach.

Certified Fall 2005

Dave has been practicing yoga for 12 years, and teaching in San Diego for over 10 years. Bikram says that it takes 10 years for one to become a true Bikram Yoga Teacher and Dave is there... Dave`s great personality, sense of humor, and way with words make those 90 minutes in the hot room seem like a piece of cake.

Certified Spring 2008

Nelia has been practicing Yang - style Tai Chi for over 10 years. She trained one - on - one from 2002 to 2007 with Howard Tseng, a certified Tai Chi master in Taiwan and in California(San Francisco Bay Area). She was a teaching assistant to Howard for about a year in 2007 and 2008 before moving to San Diego.


Certified Fall 1997

Yoga found Richard in the late 90s and he has explored and enjoyed various styles of yoga in the years since then. He holds a degree in anthropology and yoga allows him to blend his interest in the broad range of human experience with his love for physical movement. His classes incorporate his formal training in Anusara.
